How about some accidental product leaks. This one comes thanks to the Wireless Power Consortium. See, the offer up a list of all devices that support the Qi wireless charging standard. And thanks to that we have our first quick look at the upcoming Galaxy S8 Active. And I really hope I am not the only one who feels it looks pretty much like the LG G6.
Unlike the Galaxy S8 and S8+, the Active model lacks the curved glass screen. If this is anything like some of the previous versions of the Active it may lack glass all together. Thanks to that and the round corners I can’t help but think that it looks like a G6 clone from the front. Of course, I understand why as a ruggedized device they would move away from the curved screen and go with a more drop-friendly flat screen. Design changes should (hopefully)be the one of the few difference between the regular model and Active model. No news on what feature differences we will see. We do know that the phone at least sports wireless charging.
Much like previous year we are expecting this to be an AT&T exclusive. But who knows! So what do you guys think? Are you looking forward to getting your hands on a more rugged Galaxy S8?
