Quick Bit: Sprint confirms WiMax devices heading to Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile

After weeks of rumors swirling around the subject we finally have some proof. And this comes straight from the horse’s mouth. During the Sprint earning call, CEO Dan Hesse confirmed that their WiMax network will soon be the home of Virgin Mobile’s and Boost Mobile’s 4G network. It is not only nice to see that the first 4G network in the US will still be around, but the idea of some of Sprint current WiMax offering heading to prepaid carriers it awesome! Here’s hoping we see something like the Photon or EVO 3D. Or better yet, the Epic 4G Touch! There is no work on when you will start seeing 4G phones hit these carriers other than “later this year”.
