Quick Bit: HTC Status hits stores July 17th

Remember HTC’s Facebook phones? Well, in the US, it looks like you will have the chance to grab up one of the two starting July 17th. The HTC Status (or ChaCha as it is also known as) will be hitting AT&T. The phone is marketed for those who love to share and chat with friends. It features a 800 MHz processor, 2.8 inch touch screen, and a QWERTY keyboard. For taking pics, there is a 5 mega pixel auto focus camera on the back and a front-facing VGA cam for video chat. It is running Android 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC Sense 2.1 for Messaging; a special version of Sense. And of course there is that Facebook button that allows you to quickly share things from your phone with all your Facebook friends. If you aren’t a fan of the white version then you can head over to Best Buy to pick up their exclusive Mauve colored Status. The HTC Status will set you back $49.99 on a two-year contract.
