Blackberry Playbook pre-orders start today

It has been a long wait since Blackberry announced their entry into the tablet market. But as of today you can pre-order the Wi-Fi version of the Blackberry Playbook through Best Buy. The Playbook is Blackberry’s first tablet and will have their custom tablet OS. It features a 7 inch touch screen at a resolution of 1024 x 600. There is a 1Ghz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM powering this mini beast and 16GB of on-board storage. You can talk picture, video, or chat with its 3 megapixel high-definition camera in the front and a 5 megapixel on the back. If you have a Blackberry phone you will be able to wirelessly connect the two devices. For those wanting the carrier supported versions they will support WiMax(Sprint), LTE(Verizon), and HSPA+(only AT&T  has been named as carrier for this version for now). The Playbook should be shipping on April 19th. Check out the pre-order page here.
